After the destruction of Jerusalem and the scattering of Judah by the Babylonians there are no indications that the “shekhinah” glory of God ever returned to Jerusalem. Does this make the statement that God, in removing His presence from Jerusalem, had also removed His favor from the Jewish people or the people of Judah?
