How Can I Nurture the Spirit and Not the Flesh?

The apostle Paul referred to the fruit of the flesh which we immediately relate to sensuality, but of course, it goes beyond sensuality.
Could you give your perspective on the fruit of the flesh in contrast to the fruit of the Spirit?
