The new religion tends to look at the Hebrew Scriptures as a long preface to the Gospels and Letters. From such a perspective come terminology like "the Old Testament". However, God did not start over with Jesus. In fact, the office of Messiah in which Jesus sits only finds its true meaning within the nation of Israel. The process of Redemption then, as this week's program details, has been progressing since at least the days of Abraham and followers of Messiah Jesus need to understand it in order to function in God's purposes today.
